The institution that we have been raised in...

History repeats itself because us humans cannot learn from our mistakes. As we try to improve and progress as a whole, we simply are regressing, example...Where people died in the fight for civil rights, we thought racism was down to at least a minimun, and althought we have brought color to the white house, racism is at a all time high. This is why history repeats itself, where greed for money and power and total control will never seize to exist, unfortunately...

I'll like to write a song, or exploit the realities of life, but those that have tried before...are either now dead, in jail or non-existent at all.

Big ups to Nas for this...

HOLLAAAAAAAA...

Auto-Tunes

People have very strong feelings about this subject dealing with hip-hop. First and foremost, it makes you sound better. Now, who ever is listening to this enhanced song of you, has their opinions, but the plug-in is suppose to make you sound better, and it does in most cases. In my opinion, you CAN use it, just don't abuse it because it takes away value to any art that you are doing. But always be yourself, don't do it because you heard another artist on it and you figured you can do it to, but its your work, do what you please, just dont get mad at the feedbacks

Anywho...

YUNG BERG - Outerspace

I personally don't like Yung Berg, as a person, but I respect good music and he actually used the Auto-Tunes okay-ish, and Ne-Yo was right, he does use other people's formats, not mentioning names, to make music. But hey, you gotta do wat you gotta do to eat right??...So can't hate, he's getting his money right. But this song is ayte.

Today is a good day =]

Young Mula...

Weezy Blog, even with all his antics, Weezy is a hard working artist, gotta give him his respect and space. I was always doubtful about him but I still bought his album to support his movement in reviving hip-hop and he makes good music. But anywho, he aint wittier than me lmao...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Celebrate it, enjoy it and live life.

If you live out life in the present you will live in the future... -R.O.B.

MEANING (for dumbfucks)...you create your path and therefore you should know how that path might look like, some of us live shitty lives hoping for better to come, nope, dat's a NO-NO...Create your path, walk it, run it, enjoy it...only you on that stroll

Sidenote...

My goal for this blog shiiet, was to post up verses and rhymes and all that jazz, but from what I've seen it only leads to plagiarism of others from my shiiet lol. So instead I'm just going to rap them over a beat =]. I do have a home-studio that me and my comrads help create and we have history there. Check out the myspace for a little taste of The Wood, but I do plan to drop either freestyles and/or songs or just plain verses on tracks. I might take a while longer to put them up but I will tho so...stay TUNED

I'm like the only one who reads this lmaoo...who cares

Word of the Day: Hyperbole (Noun) Extravagant Exaggeration

R.O.B.'s Meaning: Sounds like a Dragonball Z move by like Trunks or one of them niggas...

I Don't know what to say but...

I try to support all music, to keep it alive, but in trying to reach the promised land, there is competition. There's good competition and bad competition, but when your competition sounds like this...well you be the judge.

*These young stars are musically inclined, meaning they had that stepping stone already built for them. All this just motivates me more and it motivated the unit I run with, The Wood, but we do gotta change Hip-Hop before it sounds like kids never went to school...at all lol. Like i said, I support all music...but...=\

Don't wanna get negative cuz we all wanna "get money" in our own ways and who knows we probably collaborate in the future but...it just puts doubts...

When will it stop...

This journalist worked undercover to reveal and bring about the true colors of the boys in blue in the U.K. Shows how racism is still alive and breathing well.

Only shows the possibilies of the rest of the world also joining in that racist cause, and it still hidden for the naked eye.

"Half"

Fuck a dare-devil, i dare the devil to temp me/
See how he views da cup, half full or empty/
Flows i have plenty, they all ring a bell/
Make Satan my son, so you can watch me raise hell/
I plan to rule the whole Empire, make my M's higher/
Leave em wit a bitter taste like R-O-B's been expired/
When I'm in the booth I record like it's Guinness/
The R stands for rate, dey never seem to lose interest/
Ain't no text in my message, but still I will send it/
Aim at his frame, see if he's photo-genic/
Then take him out the picture, along wit his niggas/
Before they figured me out, I left em all dis-figured/
Leave em wit paw-prints, I have wack-rap intolerance/
I kickz it, like an Iraqi Bush press conference/
Hip-hop needed some class, I've become the tutor/
I am tomorrow wrapped in a gift, call me the Present Future/

Took me 16 minutes and 47 seconds...I was in the zone lol

Sick "Millie" Flip!!!!

A lot of underground producers have been tryin to match up to the "Millie" hit using similar techniques and sounds and also phrases from the original song. By far, at least to me, this is the best, on a creative stand point, beat using "Millie" techniques, lines, sounds etc.

Produced by Exile

No reason to smile....

Drop a 16!!!!! #1

"Addicted to Hip-Hop"

They said my look was naive, I couldn't be an MC/
Who would of ever believed that an hispanic can free/
My similes weren't liked or as of yet/
And my metaphors never metaphorically met/
My ironies never seem to iron any crease/
And no one ever caught anything catchy in my speech/
My flow wasn't even beginning to heat up yet/
Not to mention my delivery wasn't quite U.P.S./
Everyone had agreed that I ain't have the voice/
Now all I had was my message, I ain't got much of a choice/
So I perfected my perfection...practiced, practiced, practiced/
'Till every method and aspect, became a bad habit/
Mom dukes said forget music and just school it/
But how I'ma stick to something, when I'm never gon' use it/
Don't confuse me for stupid, I still take notes/
While niggas claim to spit crack, I'm distributing pure coke.../

a lil' something...

Fuck It...why not?

Hi...I'm Rob lol kind of new to this blogging thing but figured why not, who knows who else would read this but as long as I am.

Anywho I am a upcoming rapper/MC what ever it is called these days, so when ever I post I plan to "drop a 16", meaning a verse also meaning for those who aren't familiar with rap, writing 16 lines of rhymes that concentrate around...anything...

It is 5:16 a.m. I don't know know why I'm up but who cares lol.

Anywho, I also plan to put basically anything I want along with a word of the day with its literal meaning and MY meaning ;-)...

I am part of a well-known NYC rap group (kidding) but we are a rap group called The Wood, controversial name but it originated from the actual film The Wood which is about 4 friends who basically lived their whole lives around each other. We are a brother-hood of 7 who all went to school with each other and we all found common ground through rap. Lou Fortune, Pol Pot, Chala, Air Raid, S.o.S., Kobe Blunt and me R-O-B (might change the name). My fellow comrad S.o.S. started a blog @ itsthewood.blogspot.com

That site contains music and pictures and all that good stuff.

I'm a word-player so why the fuck not lol...
I'll put up music, mostly from either me or the MC group I'm in...
Music from real artists (lol) well only the one's I like or requests lol
Expect videos, pictures, etc. Basically everything you would see on another blog with the R-O-B spin on it lol

Shout out to S.o.S. aka Ivan the Terrible...today is his birthday

This first post has been long...pause pause
